The Use of Parabens in Cosmetics
but not in ours....
The controversy over Parabens and it's use in both cosmetic products and food products continues. As you will see if you view some of these dedicated articles below, some people have very strong opinions on the subject backed up by various studies and investigations. The ony thing that we can truley be sure of is - If in doubt, leave it out.
Spray Tan Solution, Spray Tan Mousse and Spray Tan Products that contain Parabens are one of the biggest offenders. Celebrity Secrets Range of Tanning Products are PARABENS FREE. Unlike other other skin products that are used on key areas, Spray Tans are applied to the whole body and consequently the bodies absorbtion of this chemical is far greater.
Parabens are also found in deodorants / antiperspirants. As they stay on your skin throughout the day, any harmful substances that can be absorbed through the skin, has plenty of time to be absorbed. Most of us apply deodorants / antiperspirants at least once per day. This means that we are exposed to the dangers of Parabens all day long. Most of the deoderants available in the UK are now Parabens free - but do check yours.
There are now lots of products available on the market today that are Parabens Free. Please do read all the contents lables of your cosmetic and other products that may be harbouring these Parabens. Look out for these: Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben
